Sprague Qualifies Sixth at Lowe’s

CONCORD, N.C. (Oct. 11, 2002)—Jack Sprague, driver of the No. 24 NetZero Chevrolet, qualified sixth on Friday for the Little Trees 300 NASCAR Busch Series event at Lowe’s Motor Speedway.
The three-time NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series champion posted a lap of 30.010 seconds while touring the 1.5-mile oval at 179.940 mph.
David Green earned a top-20 start in his first time behind the wheel of the No. 5 GMAC Financial Services Chevy. With a lap of 179.015 mph and 30.165 seconds, the former Busch Series champion will start 19th on Saturday.
Michael Waltrip earned the pole position, his second in Busch Series competition this season.
The Little Trees 300 will take the green flag on Saturday at 1 p.m. ET.
