Green Earns Outside Pole at Rockingham

ROCKINGHAM, N.C. (Nov. 1, 2002)—David Green will start on the outside pole position at North Carolina Speedway on Saturday after posting the second-quickest time on the track during NASCAR Busch Series qualifying Friday.
Behind the wheel of the No. 5 Chevy, Green earned the best starting position of 2002 for Team GMAC with a lap of 153.329 mph. Hendrick Motorsports teammate Jack Sprague will start sixth in the No. 24 NetZero Chevrolet thanks to a 152.811-mph lap.
Jeff Green won the pole with a speed of 153.355 mph.
Saturday’s Sam’s Club 200 will be broadcast live on TNT and MRN Radio beginning at 12:30 p.m. ET.
