ROCKINGHAM, N.C. (Feb. 22, 2003) – Saturday’s NASCAR Winston Cup Series practices at North Carolina Speedway have been canceled due to continuing rain and foggy conditions.

Two 45-minute sessions were called off at the Rockingham, N.C., race track, which is scheduled to host Sunday’s Subway 400 at 1 p.m. EST.

NASCAR officials hope to have the track dried in time for Saturday’s Busch Series event, slated for 1 p.m., although inclement weather continues to threaten the area.
