CONCORD, N.C. (July 3, 2007) - Jimmie Johnson’s over-the-wall crew claimed its second Checkers/Rally’s Double Drive-Thru Challenge win of the season by spending the least amount of time on pit road during Sunday’s Nextel Cup event.
The No. 48 Lowe’s team visited New Hampshire International Speedway’s pit lane for only 175.323 seconds and will be awarded $11,000 by Checkers/Rally’s for winning the weekly competition.
“We had several different calls in the pits at New Hampshire and the guys stepped up every time,” said Johnson. “That’s what you have to do to win races and have good finishes. It’s a total team effort.”
