Hendrick teammates qualify at Kansas Speedway

KANSAS CITY, Kan. – Mark Martin led his Hendrick Motorsports teammates during NASCAR Sprint Cup Series qualifying on Saturday at Kansas Speedway and picked up the 18th starting spot.
Martin, driver of the No. 5 Farmers Insurance/GoDaddy.com Chevrolet, has one win, two top-five finishes and four top-10s in 10 Cup starts at the 1.5-mile speedway.
Jeff Gordon, driver of the No. 24 Drive to End Hunger Chevrolet, will start 22nd on Sunday. In 10 starts at Kansas, Gordon has two wins, seven top-five finishes and eight top-10s.
Dale Earnhardt Jr., driver of the No. 88 AMP Energy/National Guard Chevrolet, scored the 28th starting spot for Sunday’s 400-mile event. Earnhardt has four top-10 finishes at Kansas.
Jimmie Johnson, driver of the No. 48 Lowe’s/KOBALT Tools Chevrolet, will roll off the grid in 31st. In nine Cup starts at Kansas, Johnson has one victory, three top-five finishes and seven top-10s.
The race will be televised at 1 p.m. ET Sunday on FOX.
