CONCORD, N.C. -- On Monday, NASCAR announced the lineup for Wednesday's race at Darlington based on the results of Sunday's event at the track.
The drivers who finished in the top 20 of Sunday's race will have their finishing positions inverted. Since Chase Elliott finished fourth he will start in 17th and Alex Bowman will start in 19th since he was the runner up.
The other drivers who ended the race below the 20th position will roll off the grid in the places they finished. William Byron will start in 34th while Jimmie Johnson will begin the race in 37th.
Ryan Preece will start in the pole position.
The second race at Darlington will be Wednesday, May 20, at 6 p.m. ET on FOX Sports 1.
