CONCORD, N.C. – Kasey Kahne has logged the majority of his 17 career NASCAR Sprint Cup Series wins at intermediate tracks, so it’s no surprise that he’s put together some solid runs at Kansas Speedway.

His best career finish at the 1.5-mile track – which he’s achieved twice – is second. He has a total of five top-five finishes and eight top-10s at the tri-oval. He’s also won the pole three different times, the most recent during his first year with Hendrick Motorsports in 2012.

As Kahne heads to Kansas Speedway this weekend, let’s take a look at five fun facts about the driver of the No. 5 Farmers Insurance Chevrolet SS.

1) The most-played song on Kahne’s playlist is “What Was I Thinkin’” by Dierks Bentley.

2) His favorite vacation destination is the Bahamas because he loves all the little islands south of the mainland. “We boat to each one and enjoy that time with friends and family,” the driver said. “Those have been my best vacations.”

3) Kahne said his favorite thing to do to unwind after a race has changed this year. “My favorite way to relax now is to get home and hang out with (son) Tanner for a couple hours before he goes to bed,” he said. Once Tanner is in bed? “Just relax more than anything.”

4) As an avid Seattle Seahawks fan, it’s no secret that Kahne’s favorite sport to watch outside of racing is football. However, if he wants to get in on the action outside of being strapped into his race car, he opts for a little time on the baseball diamond. He got a chance to do just that this week in a celebrity softball game.

5) Kahne’s top three most-used emojis include the thumbs-up, regular smiley face and the excited smiley face.
