AVONDALE, Ariz. – Dale Earnhardt Jr. will lead his teammates to the green flag from third Sunday at Phoenix International Raceway.
Joining Earnhardt in the final round of qualifying were teammates Chase Elliott and Kasey Kahne. They will both roll off the grid Sunday inside the top 10 in seventh and 10th, respectively.
“I felt pretty good about our balance throughout those three rounds,” Elliott said. “Sunday’s the important day so hopefully we can get it dialed in for that.”
Jimmie Johnson did not advance past the second round. He will take the green flag in 14th.
Joey Logano captured the pole.
Sunday's race is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. on FOX, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
