CONCORD, N.C. -- This weekend Alex Bowman (substitute driver for Dale Earnhardt Jr.) will pilot the No. 88 Axalta/University of Michigan Chevrolet SS at Michigan International Speedway.
The maize and blue paint scheme was unveiled in June following the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series' first trip to the Irish Hills.
The special scheme represents the partnership between Axalta and the University of Michigan in support of engineering and business students, coatings research and other projects.
