LOS ANGELES -- Along with their teammates, Chase Elliott and Jimmie Johnson head to New Hampshire this weekend for the second race of the 2016 Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup.
Prior to the playoff kick-off last weekend, the rookie and the six-time champion visited Los Angeles to promote the final 10 races of the season and made a pit stop on an episode of Young Hollywood.
"From my standpoint, it's what the team builds up to all year long, what we're working for," Johnson said of the Chase. "Both of us, I think our teams are trying to find a little bit more speed although we're competitive and in the mix. So for us, we're not trying to conserve or protect anything, we're trying to stay aggressive and be on the offense moving forward."
The two also took part in a game of advice swapping, where Johnson passed along some guidance to Elliott on topics ranging from driving to handling stress to nutrition.
