CONCORD, N.C. -- Jimmie Johnson's win at Charlotte last weekend solidified his berth in the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Round of 8.

And for the driver of the No. 48 Lowe's Chevrolet SS, that win has taken some of the pressure of the Chase away.

"Talladega, anything can happen there and we don't have to worry about Talladega now so I can actually go have fun and just try to win the race," Johnson said. "It gives us a couple weeks to really work on some stuff with our race cars and hopefully make them better yet."

However, crew chief Chad Knaus said that while they could just sit back and relax the remaining two races of the Round of 12 -- Kansas and Talladega -- there is still work to be done before the Round of 8 begins.

"Quite honestly, I think we have to go to Kansas and we need to put our best foot forward to try to win that race," Knaus said. "I think that would be wise from our standpoint."

For more on what Johnson and Knaus had to say about the next two races, take a look at the video above.
