CONCORD, N.C. -- All season long, The Dale Jr. Foundation's Driven to Give Gloves program has brought awareness to a variety of causes and honored Patient Champions along the way.

This weekend at Phoenix International Raceway, 10-year-old Dalton Miller's name will be featured above the passenger door of Alex Bowman's No. 88 Nationwide Chevrolet SS.

The Patient Champion for November, Miller was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes in December 2012, but it hasn't stopped him from living his active lifestyle.

Thanks to the experts at Nationwide Children's Hospital, Miller is aware of his illness and will not eat or drink anything without checking with his mom or a grown-up taking care of him.

Miller was able to attend the July race at Kentucky Speedway earlier this season as a special guest of the No. 88 team, and he headed to Charlotte in September to enjoy The Dale Jr. Foundations' Driven to Give event.

Nationwide Children's Hospital is the country's largest pediatric hospital and research center, with all care provided regardless of a family's ability to pay.
