CONCORD, N.C. – Friday night at Charlotte Motor Speedway, Jimmie Johnson earned an 11th-place starting position for Saturday night’s All-Star Race.

The four-time All-Star Race winner ran three timed laps that included a four-tire pit stop with no pit-road speed limit.

Johnson was the only Hendrick Motorsports teammate to compete in the qualifying session, but his teammates can race their way into the All-Star Race by winning a segment in tomorrow night’s NASCAR Cup Series Open. The winners of the three Open stages will advance to the All-Star Race, with the fan vote determining the final eligible driver.

Matt Kenseth won the pole.

Tomorrow night’s All-Star Race is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on Fox Sports 1, MRN Radio and Sirius XM NASCAR Radio.
