CONCORD, N.C. -- Jimmie Johnson will roll off the grid in second for the 600-mile race at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

The driver of the No. 48 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE posted the second-fasted time at the qualifying session Sunday afternoon. It's the fourth time Johnson has started on the front row at the 600 event.

Chase Elliott will start right behind Johnson in third, William Byron will begin the race in 10th and Alex Bowman will start in 12th.

Kurt Busch has claimed the pole position.

The race will start on Sunday, May 24 at 6 p.m. ET on FOX.
