CONCORD, N.C. -- In this episode of Game Day to Race Day, Landon Walker, the fueler for the No. 24 team, mapped out his journey from playing offensive tackle for Clemson University to joining the pit crew at Hendrick Motorsports.

"NASCAR was something I stumbled upon because a friend of (Clemson head coach) Dabo Swinney introduced me to the sport a little bit and got in touch with the coaches here at Hendrick Motorsports," Walker said."It developed into me coming to try out and see what this thing was about."

Walker detailed how a physical at the NFL level shifted his career, landed him in North Carolina and gave him a "new identity" in the athletic world, detailing how his experience at the highest level in college football prepared him for working on a NASCAR Cup Series team.

Check out the video above to hear how Walker went from tackles in football to leaping over the wall with Hendrick Motorsports. He and the No. 24 team will be in action on Sept. 18 at 7:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN as they take on "The Last Great Colosseum."
