Alan Gustafson, Mark Martin and the No. 5 Chevrolet team earned five wins, 14 top-five finishes, 21 top-10s and seven poles in 2009. That year, the No. 5 team finished second in the NASCAR Sprint Cup championship, behind teammate Jimmie Johnson and the No. 48 team.
