Johnson earns pole position at Texas
Jimmie Johnson earned his first career NASCAR Sprint Cup Series pole at Texas Motor Speedway during qualifying at the 1.5-mile oval on Nov. 2. The top qualifying effort marked his second consecutive pole of the season. Johnson also started from the front row during the Oct. 28 Cup event at Martinsville (Va.) Speedway.
