CONCORD, N.C. --  Chase Elliott will hit the track this weekend in a paint scheme familiar to the Talladega Superspeedway track.

The No. 9 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE will sport the Mountain Dew/Little Caesars scheme for the first time this season in Sunday's race at Talladega.

On April 28, 2019, Elliott edged out teammate Alex Bowman to secure his - and Hendrick Motorsports' - first win of the 2019 season. Elliott celebrated in orange and green to match the Mountain Dew/Little Caesars scheme on his No. 9 Chevrolet.

More than 30 years earlier, Elliott's father, Bill Elliott, took home two wins at Talladega. The Elliotts' hometown of Dawsonville, Georgia, is just 150 miles away from the track, which drew in a large home crowd.

"Dad's history, obviously very cool," Elliott said after the race. "To me, the biggest piece of today was just how much of a home race it felt like after the race. I was blown away by the people and how fired up everybody was. That was an unbelievable experience. We are close to home, so that's cool, and they made me feel that way. I couldn't ask for much more there."

Fans can see Elliott and the Mountain Dew/Little Caesars scheme at Talladega this Sunday at 3 p.m. ET on FOX.
