NASHVILLE, TENN. – Kyle Larson closed out Champion’s Week by delivering a humble speech during the 2021 NASCAR Awards in Nashville.

After being welcomed to the stage by NASCAR president Steve Phelps, the 2021 NASCAR Cup Series champion stood at the podium and tried “not to get too emotional” during his speech.

Larson shared that his journey to the stage wasn’t easy, noting that the lessons he’s learned have made him a stronger and better person. The driver of the No. 5 HendrickCars.com Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 thanked those who helped him land on Nashville’s Music City Center stage, including team owner Rick Hendrick, Jeff Gordon and crew chief Cliff Daniels.
