CONCORD, N.C. – After clinching his 15th consecutive playoff birth in last week’s Brickyard 400, Jimmie Johnson and the No. 48 team are ready to begin yet another postseason run this weekend at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

And at the track, which is hosting its first playoff race in its 20-year history, the driver has had his fair share of his successes, four wins, six top-five finishes, nine top-10s, and 595 laps in 17 starts.

Of his four wins, three of them came in the form of a three-peat, making him the only driver to win three consecutive races at the track.

Johnson led 107 laps in his first win in 2005, including the final 55 to reach Victory Lane.

While Johnson’s quest for the trophy the following year did not come as easily, he only he ended up leading the lap that mattered most – the final lap.

Aiming for a third straight win in 2007, Johnson rolled off the grid 23rd, but steadily worked his way up the field to take the lead by Lap 22. He led four different times, including the final 29 laps, and cruised to the checkered flag to earn a Las Vegas three-peat.

Three years later, Johnson added another victory to his Las Vegas resume, bringing his win total at the track to four.

His four wins at Las Vegas Motor Speedway are the most all-time.
