CONCORD, N.C. – Hendrick Motorsports owner Rick Hendrick was honored Thursday at Richmond Raceway with a panel in the track’s Garage Walk of Honor.

The Garage Walk of Honor, which was established in 2018 as part of the modernized infield, honors the history of the track by highlighting iconic people in NASCAR and historical motor sports moments.

Hendrick, a Palmer Spring, Virginia native, was selected for his accomplishments as a 12-time NASCAR Cup Series championship owner. Also honored on the panel is a fellow NASCAR Hall of Famer from Virginia, H. Clay Earles.

After being selected by the Richmond Historical Committee for the recognition, Hendrick shared a statement of thanks on social media.
