CONCORD, N.C. -- Jimmie Johnson will pilot a special scheme for the second-to-last race of the season at Martinsville Speedway.
The No. 48 Ally 'Sign for Jimmie' Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE was unveiled Thursday night on FOX Sports 1's "NASCAR Race Hub". The car will have 10,000 signatures from Johnson's fans who will "ride along" with him during the Nov. 1 race.
After the 2020 season is over, the "Sign for Jimmie" Chevrolet will be placed on display at the NASCAR Hall of Fame in Charlotte, North Carolina, where fans can see the 10,000 signatures covering the car.
"I'm excited to have 10,000 more reasons to get the job done at Martinsville," Johnson said on the show. "I'm really eager to get the car at the track and let it go."
Ally also surprised Johnson on the show with a $70,000 donation to the Jimmie Johnson Foundation, with $10,000 signifying each championship he has won. The donation will help implement new grants and initiatives to address the inequalities affecting the communities of people of color, along with providing funds to K-12 public education.

Our commitment to the Jimmie Johnson Foundation will help Jimmie further his legacy as a champion for equality.”
The 'Sign for Jimmie' Ally Chevrolet can be seen in action at Martinsville Speedway on Nov. 1. The race will be the final event in the Round of 8 before the Championship 4 race at Phoenix Raceway on Nov. 8.
