CONCORD, N.C. -- The dirt race at Bristol Motor Speedway will have practice and qualifying sessions for the event, the track announced Wednesday.

There will be four heat races that are each 15 laps on Saturday, March 26 at 6, 6:15, 6:30 and 6:45 p.m. ET. The qualifying sessions will be broadcast on FS1, MRN Radio and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio

On Friday, March 25, Bristol Motor Speedway will have practice sessions for the Cup cars at 4:05 p.m. and 6:35 p.m. ET. Fans will be allowed to watch the practice sessions while socially distanced in the grandstands. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased here.

Even though this is the first Cup Series race on dirt since 1970, several Hendrick Motorsports drivers are no strangers to getting a little dirt on their tires. In January, Kyle Larson, Chase Elliott and Alex Bowman all competed or fielded cars in the Chili Bowl Nationals, an annual event that's known to bring out the best dirt racers.

Larson is especially adept at dirt racing, winning a whopping 46 races on that specific style of track last year, including the 2020 and 2021 Chili Bowl titles.

The dirt race at Bristol Motor Speedway will be Sunday, March 28 at 3:30 p.m. ET on FOX.
