CONCORD, N.C. -- Hendrick Motorsports wouldn't be the successful organization it is without its talented engineers. To continue to honor Hendrick Motorsports' dedicated teammates during National Engineers Week, get to know driveline engineer Kenneth Jones.
His position involves taking in the schematics from simulations of each track, especially restart simulations, to improve the drivelines of the four Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LEs.
Jones has been with Hendrick Motorsports for 10 years and a part of NASCAR for 14 years. Shortly after joining the organization, Jones saw his hard work pay off when Jeff Gordon won at Phoenix Raceway on Feb. 27, 2011.
"The most rewarding part is development as well as getting to see it perform on track," Jones said. "Obviously, our ultimate goal is to win races and win championships. When you're a part of that, that's the most fulfilling part of my job."
