CONCORD, N.C. – Alex Bowman will make two starts for Spire Motorsports in the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series in 2023.

The first of those will come this weekend at Circuit of The Americas, (Saturday, March 25, at 1:30 p.m. ET on FS1) the 20-turn, 3.41-mile road course in Austin, Texas. The second start occurs at North Wilkesboro Speedway (Saturday, May 20, at 1:30 p.m. ET on FOX) ahead of the NASCAR All-Star Race at the .625-mile oval on Sunday, May 21.

HendrickCars.com will be the primary sponsor for both races. Ally, which is Bowman’s primary sponsor in the NASCAR Cup Series, will be displayed on the lower-rear quarter panels of the truck. Mike Greci and Kevin "Bono" Manion will lead the effort for the No. 7 Chevrolet Silverado.

"I am excited to get the opportunity to drive the No. 7 truck for Spire Motorsports," Bowman said in a team release. "Last year, we were really fast in the truck race at COTA and I am hoping we can be fast again this year. It would be really cool to get a truck win and have won a race in all three of NASCAR’s top series. I feel like racing there in the truck will help me get ready for Sunday as well."

Should Bowman win in the Truck Series, he would become the 42nd driver to win in all three national series.

Bowman has made four career Truck Series starts with one top-10 finish. Last year, he ran two races with Spire – COTA and Sonoma Raceway. Although his start at COTA resulted in a 25th-place finish, he was contending for the win late before an on-track incident knocked the No. 7 down the running order.

The 29-year-old is a seven-time winner in the Cup Series. In 2023, Bowman is off to his best start in a season with four top-10 finishes and an average finish of 7.56 through the first five races of the season.

Bowman will not be the only Hendrick Motorsports driver to race at North Wilkesboro. Teammate William Byron will also run the Truck Series race at the North Carolina venue as part of a three-race deal with Kyle Busch Motorsports that was announced earlier this month.
