CONCORD, N.C. – Josh Berry’s latest top-10 finish gives him three in his six starts at Hendrick Motorsports.

The 10th-place run came in the NASCAR Cup Series race at Dover Motor Speedway on Monday afternoon in the No. 48 Ally Chevrolet Camaro ZL1. Berry is filling in for the injured Alex Bowman, who is sidelined for after suffering a fractured vertebra in a sprint car accident in Iowa last Tuesday.

Dover has been a solid track for Berry during his time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series with JR Motorsports, which is an affiliate of Hendrick Motorsports. He has a win and three top-two finishes at the "Monster Mile" in as many starts for JRM – with one of those runner-up finishes coming on Saturday.

"It was a really solid day for the No. 48 Ally Chevy team," Berry said. "We needed a little bit more there to be a little bit better. With the amount of experience I have in Cup cars, I feel like to run about where we did was really solid. Just proud of Blake (Harris, crew chief) and everybody on this team for a great job."

Berry had previously filled in for five races while Chase Elliott was out of the No. 9 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 with a fractured tibia. The 2020 Cup Series champion said ahead of the race weekend at Dover that he expected Berry to continue to put together solid runs for the organization. While filling in for Elliott, the Hendersonville, Tennessee, native finished a career-best second at Richmond Raceway.

"He’s certainly putting in the effort and putting in the work," Elliott said. "Thinking about things, dissecting what he feels and what he needs to do next. I think he’s going to continue to build on that.

"... I think he’ll continue to run well; keep building on his result at Richmond. He’s learning a lot in a short period of time and I think he’s going to apply that very quickly."

Berry is the 12th driver in Hendrick Motorsports history to record at least three top-10 finishes in his first six starts for the team. Here is a look at the others to accomplish this (per Racing Insights):
