NORTH WILKESBORO, N.C. - Consistency and speed have been the name of the game for Hendrick Motorsports so far in 2025.
Plenty more of both were on display in the NASCAR All-Star Race at North Wilkesboro Speedway on Sunday night.
Alex Bowman led a trio of top-10 finishes for the organization, coming home fourth with teammates Chase Elliott (fifth) and William Byron (sixth) just behind.
Byron led 12 laps in the early going and said the speed of his car was a good sign heading into points-paying races on short tracks later this year.
"We were definitely better throughout the weekend, I felt like we were really comp there at the start of the race," Byron said. "Overall, good step in the right direction for sure. It's good. Just continue to hopefully improve."
Elliott too thought his speed was encouraging.

"I thought the race was much better this year than last year which was really cool to see," Elliott said. "Our Prime Chevy was really pretty good," Elliott said. "I thought we were in the mix.
"We were solid. Better than we've been and just a nice step in the right direction. Good, solid night."
While it was a relatively stress-free weekend for the majority of the team's drivers, it was a busy few days for its fourth, Kyle Larson.
Due to obligations in Indianapolis in pursuit of the #H1100, Larson was forced to miss All-Star Race qualifying on Friday as well as the heat races on Saturday. With multi-groove, competitive racing from the start, progression to the front was a slow and steady process.
Larson did just that however, marching all the way into the top 10. Then, crew chief Cliff Daniels made a two-tire call during a caution with 75 laps to go. The No. 5 HendrickCars.com Chevrolet restarted at the front but slipped back to third with the rest of the field taking four tires. Trying to survive a long run at a tire deficit, Larson slapped the wall with 36 laps to go just as the promoter's caution flag was waving. He finished 21st.
The promoter's yellow turned out to be the final stoppage of the day. Four cars stayed out on the race track during the break setting up a mixed bag of strategy at the front. Bowman, Elliott and Byron were all able to guide their cars to the end.
The Cup Series will return with a crown jewel race next week, the Coca-Cola 600, set for 6 p.m. on Sunday at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
