CONCORD, N.C. - The NASCAR Cup Series schedule for 2026 has been released and will feature a handful of adjustments and changes from the 2025 slate.
Topping the list, Dover Motor Speedway is now home to All-Star Race weekend with North Wilkesboro Speedway - which hosted the All-Star Race in each of the last three years - now getting a points race, set for Sunday, July 19. The 0.625-mile short track hasn't hosted a regular season Cup Series event since September 29, 1996 in a race won by Hendrick Motorsports vice chairman, Jeff Gordon.
Also returning to the schedule is Chicagoland Speedway, a 1.5-mile intermediate track that last hosted the Cup Series on June 30, 2019. That event was won by current Hendrick Motorsports driver, Alex Bowman.
As previously announced, a street race will be held at Naval Base Coronado on Sunday, June 21. Also, the Cup Series championship race is returning to Homestead-Miami Speedway for the first time since 2019. Phoenix Raceway has hosted the NASCAR finale since but will now see its playoff date moved to Sunday, October 18 as the first race in the Round of 8.
