CONCORD, N.C. -- Alex Bowman will lead the charge for Hendrick Motorsports this Sunday.
The driver of the No. 88 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE will start in fifth place at Kentucky Speedway.
Chase Elliott will begin the race in eighth, Jimmie Johnson will start in 20th and William Byron will roll off the grid in 21st.
The starting lineup was set through a drawing based on the drivers' current Cup Series standings that include all 16 completed races so far this season.
Kyle Busch secured the pole position.
The race at Kentucky Speedway will be Sunday at 2:30 p.m. ET on FOX Sports 1.
