CONCORD, N.C. -- Kyle Larson will be on the pole for Sunday's race at Sonoma Raceway, just a week after Hendrick Mototsports won its record-breaking 269th win with Larson at the helm.
Following Larson in the lineup is Chase Elliott and William Byron, who will start second and third, respectively. Alex Bowman will round out the group with a seventh-place start, putting all four Hendrick Motorsports drivers inside the top 10.
The starting lineup was set based on the metrics formula from last season. It applies the data from the driver's finishing position of the last race (25%), the car owner's finishing position from the last race (25%), team owner points ranking (35%) and the fastest lap from the previous race.
