CONCORD, N.C. -- Nick Jobes and Sam Morris had two of their best races of the season Wednesday night, both placing second for Hendrick Motorsports Gaming Club at virtual Auto Club Speedway.

In the 10th race of the eNASCAR Heat Pro League Series, Jobes had his second-best finish of the season. Morris followed up Jobes' performance with his best finish of the year.

Jobes started on PlayStation 4 in 13th and quickly jumped up to seventh two laps into the 45-lap event. Two laps later, he was in ninth.

By the fifth lap, Jobes had moved back into seventh. He was riding in sixth 14 laps in when he made contact with another driver and fell to ninth.

With 31 laps to go, Jobes was all the way up to fourth place. He pitted one lap later and came out in first place but by the 17th lap he was in third.

By lap 20, Jobes was in fifth and two laps later he was in sixth. Six laps later, Jobes was riding in eighth when the first caution occurred.

When the field went green again, Jobes was in eighth when he tapped another car and caused it to have an accident, bringing out the second caution.

With eight laps to go, Jobes jumped up to fourth place. He moved up to third one lap later. In the final two laps, Jobes was tailing the leader in second place, which is how he finished the race.

Morris started in fifth on the Xbox One and fell to sixth in the first lap. Five laps in, he moved up to fourth place.

By the 12th lap, Morris was in third and slipped up to second one lap later. Lap 14 saw Morris move into first place.

He maintained the lead until lap 20 but then fell to second. One lap later, he tumbled to ninth. When the first caution came out on lap 22, Morris was up to eighth place.

By the second caution on lap 27, Morris was up two more spots to sixth. He was up to fifth place four laps later.

With 12 laps to go, Morris jumped up to third place. The second caution occurred on lap 35, which saw Morris in sixth place.

He was down to seventh with seven laps to go. He surged to third two laps later and made a last-second push to finish in second place.
