DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The NASCAR Cup Series regular season finale at Daytona International Speedway has been postponed to Sunday, Aug. 27. 

The 160-lap, 400-mile race will now take place on Sunday morning at 10 a.m. ET with coverage on CNBC, MRN Radio and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio (Channel 90).

Kyle Larson and Chase Elliott will start on the front row for the race in first and second, respectively. Alex Bowman will line up 10th, while William Byron will start 17th.

All four drivers are locked into the playoffs, which start next weekend at Darlington Raceway. Elliott was presented with the NASCAR Cup Series Regular Season Championship trophy on Saturday afternoon – a honor he officially wrapped up last weekend at Watkins Glen International. 

Elliott’s four wins are the most in the series, while Larson and Byron are among seven drivers with two wins. Bowman has scored one victory on the season.

Hendrick Motorsports is tied for the most wins at Daytona with 15 - eight in the DAYTONA 500 and seven in the 400-mile summer race. Those 15 wins have come with seven different drivers - which is also tied for the most drivers on one team to win at the Florida venue. Jeff Gordon’s six wins top the board, followed by Jimmie Johnson with three victories and Dale Earnhardt Jr. at two triumphs. Byron, Geoff Bodine, Tim Richmond and Darrell Waltrip each have one win.
