On Tuesday night, Byron controlled nearly the entire second half of the 100-lap race at the World Series of Asphalt. He started 10th and was in the top five within the first 10 laps of the event. After climbing to the top three, Byron took the lead on Lap 53 and didn't look back.

The victory was his second in as many nights at New Smyrna and his fourth win at the track since the start of 2022.

In Monday night's race, Byron started on the front row and pretty much led wire-to-wire in the 35-lap race for the victory with Wilson Motorsports.

"I felt like I hit on something today that helped me through practice and helped in qualifying and then the race," Byron told journalist Matt Weaver

The 25-year-old Charlotte, North Carolina, native won six times last season in a limited Super Late Model schedule that also included a victory in the Slinger Nationals. Last month, Byron competed at SpeedFest in Cordele, Georgia.

Byron will be behind the wheel of the No. 24 RaptorTough.com Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 starting Wednesday night with qualifying for the DAYTONA 500 at 8:15 p.m. ET on FS1, MRN Radio and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio (Channel 90). He won the pole for the prestigious race in 2019 and started on the front row in 2021. Last season saw Byron earn his first multi-win season, reach the Round of 8 for the first time in his NASCAR Cup Series career and finish a career-best sixth in points.
