CONCORD, N.C. -- The quartet of Hendrick Motorsports drivers will head to Talladega Superspeedway for their second race of the season at the 2.66-mile track in Alabama.

The Rick Hendrick-owned organization has 14 wins at the biggest venue on the circuit. Chase Elliott is the defending race winner and has two victories there in the No. 9 Chevrolet. He is the team's only active driver to win there.

This race is the middle event in the Round of 12 of the NASCAR Cup Series playoffs. Kyle Larson and William Byron remain in the hunt for the driver championship, while the Nos. 5, 9 and 24 teams are in the mix for the owner title.

Larson will have the HendrickCars.com paint scheme on the No. 5 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1. His best result at Talladega came in the spring 2022 race, where he finished fourth and led 32 laps. All of Larson's wins this season have come with HendrickCars.com as the primary partner.

Elliott's No. 9 Chevy will have LLumar on board as the primary partner for the third time this season. The 27-year-old driver's average finish of 14.1 at Talladega is the best among full-time drivers in Sunday's field. He is also one of six full-time drivers with multiple wins at this track.

Axalta's colorful paint scheme will adorn the No. 24 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 driven by William Byron. The 25-year-old driver's best finish at Talladega is a second-place result in the spring 2021 race. He has three drafting-track wins on his record in the Cup Series -- two at Atlanta Motor Speedway (he won there in July) and one at Daytona International Speedway. Thanks to his win at Texas Motor Speedway, Byron is locked into the Round of 8.

Alex Bowman's No. 48 Ally Chevy carries the white-based "day" scheme for this weekend's race. The 30-year-old driver's top result at Talladega came in the spring 2019 race when he finished second to Elliott.
