CONCORD, N.C. – The 2024 NASCAR Cup Series schedule has been announced by the sanctioning body.

There are several notable changes, in addition to those already made public. Richmond Raceway will host both of its races at night, with the spring date taking place on Easter Sunday, March 31. Texas Motor Speedway’s annual date shifts to the spring and will be held on April 14. The Chicago Street Race is slated to return for its second year. With the Olympics occurring in 2024, the sport will have a two-week break over the summer. The regular season will end with a different look as Darlington Raceway will close out the 26-race regular season.

The playoffs will have two tracks joining the 10-race postseason with Atlanta Motor Speedway and Watkins Glen International becoming part of the opening Round of 16. This will give the playoff portion of the schedule two drafting tracks and two road courses. Additionally, Kansas Speedway will shift to become the first race of the Round of 12.

In recent weeks, some pieces of the slate had been revealed. Those included the Clash exhibition race taking place for the third straight year at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseumon Feb. 4. The spring race at Bristol Motor Speedway is moving back to the concrete layout after three years on dirt. North Wilkesboro Speedway will host the All-Star Race for the second straight year, which was won by Kyle Larson in 2023. Iowa Speedway will be hosting its first-ever Cup event on Father’s Day, June 16. The Cup Series annual trip to Indianapolis Motor Speedway will be back on the oval at the Brickyard on July 21. For the fifth straight season, Phoenix Raceway will host the championship weekend.
