Hendrick Motorsports has eight wins in the DAYTONA 500, which is the second-most among all teams. Dale Earnhardt Jr. was the most recent winner in the event for the organization in 2014. Team vice chairman Jeff Gordon’s three victories are the most by any one driver for the team followed by Jimmie Johnson’s two. Darrell Waltrip and Geoff Bodine also won this race for team owner Rick Hendrick.

The 2024 season marks the 40th anniversary of Hendrick Motorsports. With 301 Cup Series wins, the organization is the winningest team in premier series history. They are closing in on 80,000 laps led – currently sitting at 79,757 circuits out front. The team is also also four poles away from 250 as a company. Both the laps led and pole marks are already the high marks for teams in the series. In addition, Hendrick Motorsports has earned at least one race win in a record 39 different seasons, including an active streak of 38 in a row (1986-2023).
