NASHVILLE, Tenn. – On Sunday evening, Hendrick Motorsports took to Nashville Superspeedway for the track's fifth race in NASCAR Cup Series history. In the end, William Byron lead the team with a fifth-place finish.

After qualifying third, Byron proved to be a force inside the top five throughout the race. The championship points leader would score stage points in both segments with finishes of fourth and second. Ultimately, the No. 24 RAPTOR High Heat Chevrolet would end the 300-lap race in fifth.

Although Kyle Larson would earn a top-10 result, it was a battle to get to that point for the No. 5 HendrickCars.com team. Throughout stage one, Larson struggled with the balance and was outside the top 25. However, crew chief Cliff Daniels made constant changes throughout the night, resulting in a better race car after each pit stop. The result was a gutsy eighth-place finish.

It was a similar night for Chase Elliott, who finished 15th. For much of the race, it seemed like Elliott was always in the picture as cars were spinning around him. Impressively, Elliott managed to keep the No. 9 Kelley Blue Book entry damage free through several incidents. Ultimately, Elliott would earn the 15th spot.

Alex Bowman was involved in an on-track incident in the second segment. After the contact, Bowman would return to the track to finish the race. The No. 48 Ally team would end the night in 38th.
