CONCORD, N.C. - While most artifacts are relics of the past, bits and pieces still remain at Hendrick Motorsports from a more recent era.This week, our artifacts come from an unprecedented effort:
The Garage 56 entry.

In 2023, Hendrick Motorsports joined forces with NASCAR, Chevrolet, Goodyear and IMSA to take on the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The vehicle, a modified version of the Next Gen race car, took the racing world by storm and was able to complete the historic race while turning heads in the process.
Sitting in the Hendrick Motorsports Team Store and Museum is the car used during the Goodwood Festival of Speed. While the chassis itself is different, all of the parts and pieces are identical to what hit the track on the Garage 56 car in France.
Near the display sit several items used in the project. Gloves, fiesuits and even pit equipment. However, one item stands out among the rest. It's also the least expensive of the bunch.
Coffee cups.
According to the team, the much needed caffeine helped get the group over the finish line. In memory of this grueling 24 hours, several Garage 56 branded cups made their way back across the pond and have now found a home in the Hendrick Motorsports archives.
But now, it's time for a quiz! The previously mentioned quiz located above consists of seven questions based on Hendrick Motorsports' history at the coming week's track. Answer the most questions correctly and you're qualified to win that week's prize. A random drawing will break all ties.

Our archivist Sam Ulrich has put together a so called "Garage 56 prize pack". The winner will receive a shirt, magnet, magazine and of course, coffee cup commemorating the historic achievement of racing at Le Mans.
Per usual, entries are limited to one per device. The quiz will close at 11:45 p.m. ET on Monday night, the day after this week's race in Mexico City.
