CONCORD, N.C. - Regardless of the configuration and the style of racing, Hendrick Motorsports has remained a force at Atlanta Motor Speedway since Darrell Waltrip gave team owner Rick Hendrick his first Peach State win in 1989. 

All told, the organization has visited victory lane 17 times in 79 races at Atlanta, most all time. Its 67 top fives, 106 top 10s and 3,690 laps led are also the most. 

Certainly, that string of success includes the team's current crop of drivers as well. William Byron, who enters the weekend as the NASCAR Cup Series points leader, has a pair of victories on the 1.54-mile quad-oval while Chase Elliott has also tasted victory at his home track. 

Kyle Larson has led more laps at Atlanta (452) than any other track in which he has not yet won. Alex Bowman finished fifth to open the playoffs at Atlanta last year and led six laps in this season's spring race.
