CONCORD, N.C. - It's tough to beat NASCAR Cup Series short track racing under the lights.
That's what fans will be treated to on Saturday night with Richmond Raceway the site for the penultimate event in the regular season. Additional events include the Whelen Modified Tour as well as the CRAFTSMAN Truck Series.
Hendrick Motorsports drivers William Byron and Chase Elliott are separated by 42 points atop the Cup Series points standings with 15 crucial playoff points hanging in the balance.
As for Richmond, the three-quarter-mile short track has been yet another venue of success for the organization. Hendrick Motorsports has visited victory lane 12 times in 81 events and has racked up a series best 19 poles. The team also leads in top fives (69), top 10s (128) and laps led (4,643).
Kyle Larson has won twice at the D-shaped oval with Alex Bowman also earning a victory.
