CONCORD, N.C. - With 12 wins, four more than any other NASCAR Cup Series team, there's no doubt that the Southern 500 has always been a special event and Darlington Raceway, a special venue for Hendrick Motorsports.
In 2012, Jimmie Johnson found a way to make the occasion even more memorable.
The seven-time champ put an end to a personal 16-race winless skid and finally delivered team owner Rick Hendrick his 200th victory, scoring another win in a crown jewel to boot.
And wouldn't you know it, our good buddy and archivist Sam Ulrich, still has a little gear from that night.

Most notably, ol' Sam still has the firesuit Johnson wore in South Carolina complete with a personal note from himself to Hendrick in celebration of the milestone victory. And hey, you can always find a race car somewhere around this Concord, North Carolina-based campus and Sam knew just were to locate the exact Chevrolet that Johnson steered to the win.
Sam, for his part, remains undefeated.
Now, where do you come in?
Well, about the only way we could wrestle the firesuit away from Sam would be from his cold dead hands. So, in the interest of keeping the series going as well as Sam's well-being, we searched elsewhere for a trivia quiz prize this week and found some Jimmie Johnson writing elsewhere.
