CONCORD, N.C. - This weekend, Hendrick Motorsports takes to Martinsville Speedway for the final race in the Round of 8. The event will solidify the four drivers competing for the NASCAR Cup Series championship next weekend at Phoenix Raceway.

From a points perspective, Kyle Larson sits in the best position from Hendrick Motorsports at 36 points above the cutline. He only trails Christopher Bell by one point as well. However, were one of the four drivers currently below the cutline to win, Larson would need to pass Bell on points to secure the final spot in the Championship 4.
After rough outings at Talladega Superspeedway, William Byron and Chase Elliott (-36 and -62 respectively) enter Sunday with one goal:
Victory.
Both drivers have been victorious at Martinsville in the past and will look to score a walk-off victory on Sunday. Alex Bowman will also look to capitalize on past success at the Virginia short track having won here in 2021.
