SONOMA, Calif. -- Following Saturday's two-round qualifying session, Hendrick Motorsports landed three top-eight starting positions at Sonoma Raceway.

After most of the field waited the better part of half of the 25-minute Round 1, three of the organization's drivers laid down laps fast enough to advance to the second and final round.

William Byron climbed the charts early, leading his teammates Chase Elliott and Jimmie Johnson to the final 10-minute round.

Alex Bowman's lap time did not hold enough to advance the No. 88 team to the final round. Bowman will take the green flag tomorrow in 17th.

As the last of the three teammates to make a run in the final session, Elliott will lead his Hendrick Motorsports teammates to Sunday's green flag in third. Johnson and Byron qualified not far behind in seventh and eighth, respectively.

Kyle Larson won the pole.

Tune in to Sunday's race at Sonoma Raceway at 3 p.m. ET on FS1, PRN Radio and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
