HOMESTEAD, Fla. – Jimmie Johnson isn’t messing around when it comes to throwing it back to 2002 this weekend.

The No. 48 Lowe’s Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 is already paying homage to Johnson’s rookie season, and we saw the driver’s firesuit and helmet, both mirroring their look from 2002.

But on Friday, he took things a step further.

Johnson has gone with a bearded look for quite some time, but back in his rookie year, he was clean-shaven.

It appears he’s gone all-out with the rookie look this weekend.

He even donned a Lowe’s hat from his 2002 rookie campaign to complete the ensemble.

As the No. 48 team celebrates Lowe’s partnership before the company’s final ride as the team’s primary sponsor on Sunday at Homestead-Miami Speedway, Johnson is certainly having fun with it.
