The ‘Tonymobile’ Races to Hendrick Motorsports Oct. 13

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (Oct. 11, 2004) – Fans will have the opportunity to meet Tony the Tiger and two-time NASCAR champion Terry Labonte on Wednesday, Oct. 13 when the “Tonymobile” visits the Hendrick Motorsports Museum. Free and open to the public, the Tonymobile will be on site from 1-5 p.m. ET, and Labonte will be available for autographs from 3-4:30 p.m. The Tonymobile is a custom-made, 23-foot-long, 13-foot-high traveling attraction, which showcases larger-than-life versions of Tony and his friends. The electric-blue “character vehicle,” which runs at 285 horsepower thanks to a Chevrolet 350 Vortec V-8 engine, features four chrome wheels and weighs 4.75 tons. Families may have their faces painted like Tony, take home a mini Tonymobile and go for a ride in the Kellogg’s NASCAR Simulator. Photo opportunities with Kellogg’s characters -- like Tony the Tiger, Toucan Sam and Dig’Em -- are planned, and complimentary samples of Kellogg’s Fruit Twistables will also be offered. The event is available to the public at no charge, courtesy of Kellogg Company. For directions, please call the Hendrick Motorsports Team Store at 877-467-4890 or visit http://www.hendrickmotorsports.com/hms_visit.asp
