CONCORD, N.C. - The NASCAR Cup Series travels north to Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin, to race at Road America over the Fourth of July weekend for the second year in a row.
The 14-turn road course measures 4.048 miles in length and made a return to the Cup Series calendar last season for the first time since 1956.
Hendrick Motorsports will also return to the NASCAR Xfinity Series for the first time since 2009 with the No. 17 HendrickCars.com Chevrolet Camaro. The car will be piloted this weekend by Kyle Larson but will see Alex Bowman behind the wheel at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Road Course, and William Byron at Watkins Glen International.

This year’s Road America Cup Series race is the third of six road course races during the 2022 campaign. In last year's event, Chase Elliott and Byron combined to lead over 62 percent of the laps, with Elliott taking the checkered flag for his seventh road course win.
Larson and Bowman have been good on road courses too. The reigning Cup Series champion won the pole and a stage at Sonoma Raceway and scored three road course wins last year. Bowman nearly won the event at Circuit of The Americas in March.
One interesting note for this weekend's event is that teams will pit in the opposite direction with the fuel being taken on the right side of the car.
Hendrick Motorsports has 25 road course wins at the Cup level, which is the most among all teams in the history of the top series.

WHAT TIME IS PRACTICE AND QUALIFYING?
For the Cup Series, there will be a group practice session starting at 11:30 a.m. ET on Saturday, July 2, with coverage starting on the NBC Sports App and USA Network joining in progress at noon ET. Group qualifying will follow practice, beginning at 12:20 p.m. ET and will also be broadcast on USA Network. Larson will be in Group A, while Bowman, Byron and Elliott will be part of Group B.
The Xfinity Series will hit the track on Friday, July 1 for practice and group qualifying. USA Network will cover both events starting at 5:30 p.m. ET. Larson will be in Group B for qualifying.
WHAT TIME IS THE RACE?
The 250-mile Cup Series main event is scheduled for 3 p.m. ET on Sunday, July 3, and will be broadcast on USA Network.
The Xfinity Series race will take place at 2:30 p.m. ET on Saturday, July 2. and will also be broadcast on USA Network.
