CONCORD, N.C. - In a story written for HendrickMotorsports.com earlier in the week by our own David Harris, the story of Chase Elliott's notable 2019 rally and win at the Charlotte ROVAL was retold.
In that story, Harris pulled a quote from Elliott, saying, "It should've never been special in the first place but since I went out of my way to make it special, I felt like I had to go back and see it one more time."
Elliott was referring to the tire barrier, one he plowed into after overshooting turn one, necessitating a frantic, late-race run through traffic to reclaim the lead and eventually, go to victory lane.
But it works in this circumstance for us, as well. Because we're giving you the chance to see the car one more time.

Here at Hendrick Motorsports, we don't make a habit of getting rid of racing treasures and certainly that car - one that went from crunched in the fence to victory lane - is one worth holding on to. Now being restored by Hendrick Performance, the NAPA Auto Parts Chevy remains a relic of one of Elliott's most noteworthy victories and a vital piece of history.
“I was really proud of that one,” Elliott admitted.
