CONCORD, N.C. - Time flies when you're going fast.
For over four decades, that's just what Hendrick Motorsports has been doing. But 30 years ago, in 1995, that speed was taken to the next level. And that's where it's stayed.
Jeff Gordon, crew chief Ray Evernham and the No. 24 team broke through to win the first NASCAR Cup Series championship in organizational history that year, giving team owner Rick Hendrick his first in his 12th season. Since then, all three have padded their resumes - including inductions into the NASCAR Hall of Fame - but there's no doubt, 1995 was a special, life-changing accomplishment for each.
