CONCORD, N.C. - The Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway has long been the scene of star-making performances with seven drivers - including Hendrick Motorsports and NASCAR Hall of Famer Jeff Gordon - earning their first career wins in the sport's longest race.
Did someone say stars?
How's Tom Cruise, sound? Nicole Kidman, anyone?
Yep, we're talking, "Days of Thunder", the classic film following Cruise as young driver, Cole Trickle, trying to make it in the world of NASCAR. By now, Hendrick Motorsports' involvement with the film has long been documented with Rick Hendrick fielding race cars and providing stunt drivers for the film. Much of the movie was shot and filmed in the Charlotte area as well as Daytona Beach, Florida.
And with all that involvement, you didn't think our good buddy Sam Ulrich down in archives was without some artifacts, did you?

This is one for the books and in fact, has the thickness of one as well. But ol' Sam dove into the bottom of his boxes and found this: an original movie script signed by most of the cast crew including Cruise, Kidman, Robert Duval, John C. Reilly, Hans Zimmer and more.
Pair that with an original, "Days of Thunder" promotional sign and put them both on one of the City Chevrolet cars used in filming and well, Sam outdid himself this time.

Unfortunately, we can't give out the script itself, unless you have a few hundred thousand smackeroos collecting dust in a briefcase somewhere. And that doesn't even account for the hired muscle it would take to pry it from Sam's hands!
But, as you know by now, dear reader, we don't disappoint.
You know the drill, take our weekly quiz, crafted by Sam, do better than anyone else and have some swag mailed to your house.

Remember that Jeff Gordon win we were talking about earlier? Well, how bout a nice, original, illustrated Sam Bass poster commemorating the win that sparked one of the best careers in the history of the sport?
We thought you might like that!
The rules remain the same. The quiz will close on the night of Monday, May 26 and entries are limited to one per device.
Good luck!
