CONCORD, N.C. - Like so many NASCAR fans of varying ages, when Sam Ulrich thinks St. Louis, Sam Ulrich thinks about Ken Schrader!
Luckily for ol' Sam, our resident archivist here at Hendrick Motorsports, Schrader's nine seasons with the organization ensured that there are plenty of artifacts lying around to choose from for this week's segment. And it's fitting as this week's Cup Series race is set for WWT Raceway in Madison, Illinois, which is within shouting distance of the Gateway to the West.
This Sunday will mark just the fourth time the sport's premier series has run on the 1.25-mile oval, a small sample size indeed. Talladega Superspeedway, however, has a much longer history in which to pull, including a couple signature Schrader moments.

There is of course his win, which came at the superspeedway in 1988. On the other end of the spectrum, a vicious crash that took place in 1995.
Both are commemorated on the team's Concord, North Carolina-based campus but its the latter that drew ol' Sam's attention this week. And in his defense, the carcass of the demolished race car, situated among the intact, often restored rides of the pass, does tend to stick out in the Hendrick Motorsports gift shop.
The car remains a torn-up relic and reminder of the danger of NASCAR. And on top this week, we sat a testament to its safety. In this case, a helmet Schrader worn during that season.
Now, where do you come in?
So, glad you asked. Take Sam's trivia quiz above and if you're among the top scorers, you'll be automatically entered into a drawing for this week's prize ... or prizes! That's right, this week's winner will be sent a slew of vintage Schrader art including photos and promotional items.

As always, the quiz will close at 11:45 p.m. on Monday night and entries are limited to one per device.
Thanks, and good luck!
